What the service includes
A TLS certificate, commonly called SSL, enables encryption between the browser and server. HTTPS matters for sign-in pages, forms and everyday website use. We help install the certificate, organise address variants and check the website after the change.
Certificate scope and domain names
The certificate must cover the names used by the service, such as the root domain and its www variant. For multiple subdomains, its scope and issuance method need review. We check DNS and the ability to validate control of the domain. The certificate type is chosen according to the project requirements.
HTTPS without browser errors
Installing a certificate is only part of the work. Images, scripts or forms may still use HTTP addresses. This mixed content can be blocked by browsers. We review application URLs, redirects and important user journeys so that the move to HTTPS covers the whole website, including resources loaded by its pages.
Renewals and configuration checks
Certificates expire after a defined period. Automatic renewal depends on working domain validation. DNS, access rules or server changes may affect that process. We help agree how validity is monitored and who handles renewal. HTTPS protects data in transit, but does not replace application updates or account security.
A consistent address for visitors
An HTTPS rollout should organise www, non-www and HTTP address variants. Appropriate redirects lead to the primary version without unnecessary chains. We also check forms and integrations. If the project has a dashboard, API or additional subdomains, each service needs to be included in configuration and certificate checks, rather than assuming the main website certificate covers everything.
Information needed for setup
Prepare domain and subdomain lists and identify DNS and hosting providers. Mention any proxy or CDN. For an existing certificate, explain its renewal method and installation location. Do not send private keys in a general request. We will agree on access and how to verify the services requiring encrypted connections.
