What the service includes
Website security combines several complementary measures. Certificates, an updated CMS and strong passwords matter, but no single setting removes every threat. We help review configuration, organise access and plan security maintenance within an agreed scope.
Accounts and permissions
People working on a site should have separate accounts with only the permissions they need. Access should be withdrawn when cooperation ends. We review account management and options for additional sign-in verification. Keys, tokens and passwords belong in suitable storage tools rather than publicly accessible files or shared documents.
Updated applications and configuration
The review covers component versions, unused extensions, HTTPS and access to administrative areas. An outdated plugin can cause problems even on a well-maintained server. We agree on changes and tests so that protection does not block needed functions. Detailed code audits and penetration testing require a separate scope.
Prepare for incidents
A response plan should explain how to report issues, restrict access and recover data. Suspected infections need investigation of the cause, not only removal of visible symptoms. Backups, logs and change history support diagnosis. Responsibilities and communication channels are agreed so that the response follows an organised process.
Security in everyday team work
Technical rules should make sense to the people using the application. Shared administrator accounts complicate change tracking, while unused access increases risk. We help define granting and revoking permissions and secure information sharing. Staff devices and email also deserve attention: protecting the website alone does not cover the company’s entire working environment.
Prepare a security review
Identify applications, hosting and important integrations. Describe how access, updates and backups are managed. If an incident is suspected, record timing and visible symptoms before making unrelated changes. Logs and work history are useful. We agree on diagnosis scope and actions requiring separate approval to preserve information needed to identify the cause.
